Group lessons entail all that is addressed in the private lessons, except geared towards a group of students who are around the same skill level with similar musical tastes, although one may not get the individual attention of a private lesson, group lessons do move at the pace set by the students and are more affordable.

Lessons are offered in two different styles: “friends and family'“ for groups of people who already know each other who want to learn together, and “open” lessons that are comprised of people who have not yet met (a great way to make new friends!).

A good deal of time is spent getting the group to play music together, which can immensely facilitate and expedite the learning process.

These special classes are tailored to the skill-level of the group. I offer them in 4 different tiers:

Total Beginner - Every Wednesday, 6:00pm. Geared towards those who have no experience whatsoever playing the guitar. Fundamental ideas such as how to hold the instrument, recognizing its different parts, as well as strumming chords, and playing songs will be covered.

Novice Beginner - Every Thursday 6:00pm. Great for those who have a little bit of experience playing the guitar. It is expected that you already know the names of the strings and how to strum a few chords so that the focus can be learning new songs, strumming patterns, and more advanced chords.

Intermediate - Every Wednesday 7:00pm. If you’re capable of playing open-string chords and switching between them while keeping time, but aren’t quite able to work barre chords in, then these classes will be a good match for you.

Advanced - Every Thursday 7:00pm. If major and minor barre chords are not a problem and you can easily play a song incorporating all 4 forms as well as single-note soloing, then this is the class you’ll want to take.

All group classes have a minimum sign-up of 2 people, and a maximum of 4.
Since these lessons are priced lower than standard private lessons, all cancellations will result in forfeiture of payment.
